Care must be taken when wearing this style to keep the color of the gold from fading too quickly. 99% of all seed beads in our stock DO NOT FADE. Mostly all of our waistbeads are worn for many years without any beads fading because almost all of the seed beads that we use are manufactured with the color inherent in the glass itself, meaning the color of the beads runs throughout the glass and does not fade. However, these new gold seed beads are manufactured through a different type of process whereby the beads get their gold color through a coating over clear beads. The gold beads have shown to fade to clear over time. The other colors in this style will NOT fade. To slow your gold seed beads from fading, we recommend removing these waistbeads while you sleep, bathe, shower or swim. Avoid exposing these beads to excess moisture. If you would like to have this style made with translucent gold, non-fading seed beads instead, please include a request in the NOTES section of your order form.
